  1. Pour the milk in a heavy base pan and bring it to boil on a medium heat.
  2. Add the cornflour, rice and maple syrup to the milk and cook on slow heat till it thickens, stirring occasionally. Now the consistency of the rice pudding depends on your preference, if you want it very thick, cook it till you get your preferred consistency.
  3. Take the pan off the heat and serve hot.
  4. Or if you're using a fruit compote, then chill the pudding in the fridge. When serving, top it with a fruit compote of your choice.
