  1. Prepare 1 rotisserie chicken de-boned and chopped into bits

  3. Get 2 slice onion, chopped

  5. Prepare 1 stick celery, deveined and chopped or dried celery leaves

  8. Make ready 1 pinch salt to taste
  9. Get 1 black pepper to taste
  10. Take 1 spice/seasoning mix
  11. Prepare 2 Herbox chicken bouillon
  12. Take 1 water, I just add until it will cover everything adequately, with a bit extra for the pasta to absorb
Instructions to make Simple Chicken and Dumplings:
  1. In large pot, toss in chicken, pour in a few cups of water along with the contents of chicken bouillon packets.
  2. Add in onions, celery and carrots. Add salt, pepper, seasoning to taste.
  3. Bring to slow boil. Stir regularly.
  4. Once carrots are cooked (approximately 30 min) pour the bag of dumpling noodles in, add more water if necessary.
  5. Turn temp down to low/ simmering and stir noodles to make sure none stick to the bottom.
  6. Once noodles are cooked, mix a little milk and flour together. (I pour them in a well sealed jar and shake vigorously until there are no lumps) then pour into the pot. You can use a very small amount at first and build up if you want. The more flour/milk the thicker the broth.
  7. Let cook a few more minutes to allow it to thicken a bit then serve.
  8. If you like a lil more kick in your food, you can sprinkle a lil hot sauce in your bowl. I like a lil Louisiana Bat's Brew in it now and then. :-)
