To begin with this recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can have oats dosa using 8 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Oats Dosa:
  1. Get 1 cup oats
  2. Take 1/2 cup urad dal (black gram lentil), soaked overnight
  3. Prepare to taste salt
  4. Make ready 1-2 green chilies (opt)
  5. Get 1 " ginger
  6. Make ready 1 tsp. idli podi (opt)
  7. Get oil to shallow fry
  8. Prepare coconut chutney & sambar to serve
Instructions to make Oats Dosa:
  1. Grind the soaked dal, ginger and green chilies with required quantity of water into a smooth paste.
  2. Dry roast the oats for 2 minutes. keep aside.
  3. Add the oats, salt and idli podi to make a batter of pouring consistency. Keep it aside for 4-5 hours.
  4. Brush a non-stick pan with oil and wipe dry with a kitchen towel. Pour a ladleful of the batter and spread it round into a circle.
  5. Drizzle some oil around the edges and cook on a medium flame till one side is cooked. Flip it over and cook the other side too till done.
  6. Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar for a sumptuous and a healthy breakfast.
