  1. Get can Evaporated Milk
  2. Take can Cream of Coconut
  3. Take can Coconut Milk
  4. Take Sweetened Condensed Milk
  5. Make ready Vanilla extract
  6. Get Ground cinnamon, plus more for garnish, if desired
  7. Prepare Nutmeg
  8. Take Don Q White Rum
  9. Make ready Dark Rum, I used Bumbu
  10. Make ready Cinnamon sticks (optional)

It's made with a blend of coconut ingredients, cinnamon, and rum. One batch makes plenty for a party. Coquito is a traditional coconut punch served at Christmas and New Year's celebrations in Puerto Rico. But this coquito is a very simple mixed drink you can make from canned cream of coconut.

Instructions to make Coquito:
  1. In bowl of blender, add evaporated milk, cream of coconut, coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, rum (if using), vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Blend on high until mixture is well combined, 1-2 minutes.
  2. Pour coconut mixture into 2 glass mason jars, add one cinnamon stick to each jar if desired. Transfer to refrigerator. Chill until cold.
  3. To serve, stir or shake bottle well to combine. Pour into small serving glasses. Garnish with ground cinnamon and cinnamon sticks, if desired.
